Baldaquin is a 1959 by Marie-Louise Carven, held at Palais Galliera - Musée de la Mode de la Ville de Paris.
This sketch shows a woman in a sleek black dress with a fitted bodice and a flared skirt. She stands sideways, one hand on her hip, the other resting at her side. The dress has a small lace trim at the hem. In the corner, there’s a tiny sketch of the same dress in a lighter color with dotted patterns. The artist signed it “Baldaquin” in the top right. The drawing feels loose and quick, like a first idea rather than a finished design. Look up Marie-Louise Carven to see more of her work.
