About this work

This sketch shows a simple, geometric shape—two triangles stacked on top of each other. One is red with a white symbol in the middle, and the other is blue with thick black lines. The whole thing is drawn on lined paper, with a date scrawled in the corner: *2 3 ИЮЛ. 1928*. The bold colors and sharp lines make it look almost like a sign or a symbol. The artist used colored pencils and pencil, filling in the shapes with quick, confident strokes. If you like this, check out Aleksandr Rodchenko—he made a lot of work like this.
