Untitled is a 1967 graphite by Brett Whiteley, held at Museum of Modern Art.
This drawing is all scrawled lines and shapes—no clear colors, just black ink and pencil. A busy scene with lots of overlapping figures and objects: a rabbit, a bird, a building, and what looks like a spiral pattern on the ground. The lines are thick in some spots and faint in others, like someone sketched fast and then added details later. One weird detail: a hand holding a brush is drawn at the bottom right, almost like the artist caught themselves mid-work. The paper has torn edges, and some parts look like they’ve been cut out and glued back on. If you like this messy, layered style, check out cross-hatching next.
