This drawing shows a strange, dreamlike scene in black and white. A big, blobby figure with a long neck and oversized head sits in the center, surrounded by floating shapes—some look like shoes, others like clouds or tiny people. The lines are scratchy and uneven, like they were drawn with a sharp tool. The artist used a technique called *drypoint*, where lines are carved into a metal plate to make prints. This makes the marks look rough and layered, almost like scribbles. Check out The Museum of Modern Art to see more works like this.
