You see thick black scribbles and bright pink smears on a big square of paper. The marks look fast, like someone was thinking out loud with charcoal and pastel. Kim is deaf, and this work comes from a series about sound and silence. She uses lines and colors to show how loud or quiet something feels, not how it sounds.
