This drawing looks like a mix of tangled vines and swirling clouds. The lines are thick and brown, wrapping around pink, puffy shapes that sort of look like brains or coral. There are also sharp, flat shapes—some gray, some blue—cutting through the mess like arrows or broken glass. The artist used colored pencil to build up layers, making the lines look almost 3D. The pink areas feel soft, while the brown lines are busy and tight, like they’re fighting the shapes. Next, check out Cotter Luppi’s other work to see how they play with color and chaos.
