Untitled is a 1968 ink by Dieter Roth, held at Museum of Modern Art.
This is a simple white envelope with black text that reads *"Cards intended to accompany chocolate bar."* A silver paperclip is stuck in the top corner. Behind it, you can see part of a blue background and a glimpse of a colorful, patterned surface—maybe a box or wrapping. The envelope is empty. It’s like a joke: you expect something inside, but there’s nothing. The artist made this to play with our ideas of gifts and surprises. Look up lithography next to see how artists print images like this.
