About this work

This painting is all straight black lines on a green background. The lines are packed close together at the bottom, then spread out wider toward the top. Some lines curve slightly, while others stay perfectly straight. The artist used a printing method that lets ink sit on a flat stone instead of brushes. This makes the lines look clean and precise, like they were drawn with a ruler. Look up lithography to see how this technique works.
