Untitled is a 2020 ink by Gabriel Orozco, depicting Shoe, held at Museum of Modern Art.
You see a pale gray square with thin, wobbly lines drawn in pencil or charcoal. The lines cross and loop, almost like a doodle someone made while talking on the phone. Orozco made this after visiting The Met in New York. He traced the paths visitors walked through the galleries, turning their movement into simple marks on paper.
