This busy street scene shows a snowy day with people bundled up in coats and hats. Shops line the street, with signs advertising things like "Free Drinks" and "Chocolates." A horse-drawn cart is being loaded or unloaded by two men, while others walk or stand around talking. In the background, a ship is docked near a building labeled "MALL." The artist used a drawing-like style with lots of shading to show depth and texture. This technique is called lithography, where the image is drawn directly on a smooth stone. Look up lithography to see how it works.
