This long, narrow painting shows a busy outdoor scene with lots of small figures. On the left, two girls in bright dresses sit by a path. In the middle, people line up holding hands, while others play or walk. The background has trees, hills, and a faint sky with a lightning bolt. Colors are soft but pop in spots—like the girls’ dresses or the red blanket someone holds. The figures look hand-cut and pasted on, giving the scene a patchwork feel. The artist used carbon paper to transfer images, layering colors and details. Look up Henry Darger to see more of his strange, detailed worlds.
