About this work

This is the back of a wooden painting frame. The wood is light brown with visible wear, and the canvas inside is empty—no painting is visible. There’s a handwritten label on the top right that reads *"Nº INV 375"* in faded ink, and a few small paper tags stuck to the sides. The frame looks old, with cracks and chipped edges where the paint has worn off. The canvas itself is plain and unremarkable, just a blank beige surface waiting for something to be painted. If you’re curious about where this might be stored, check out the Museum of Ethnography.
