'Bianca' is a 1951 by Marie-Louise Carven, held at Palais Galliera - Musée de la Mode de la Ville de Paris.
This sketch shows a woman standing sideways, holding a bouquet of flowers in one arm. Her dress has a simple, flowing shape with a wide skirt that flares out at the bottom. The lines are loose and quick, giving it a sketchy, unfinished feel. The artist signed it "Bianca" in the corner, which is also the title. The drawing looks like it was made fast, with some areas left blank to suggest fabric folds. Check out cross-hatching to see how artists build shading with lines.
Marie-Louise Carven (31 August 1909 – 8 June 2015), born Carmen de Tommaso, was a French fashion designer who founded the house of Carven in 1945.
