About this work

This drawing shows a simple, geometric room. The walls are made of straight, red lines stacked in rows. One corner has a tiny square window or door, and the floor is just horizontal lines. There’s no color beyond the red-brown ink. The lines are all hand-drawn, but they look precise, like a puzzle. The artist used a printing method where ink is pressed into metal plates. Next, check out etching to see how this kind of drawing is made.
