This print shows a forest of tall, skinny trees with round, cloudy shapes floating above them. The trees are drawn in a rough, textured line that looks hand-carved, and the sky is full of odd, bubble-like forms. Shadows and light mix unevenly, making some areas fuzzy while others stay sharp. The artist used a printing method called linoleum cut, where they carved into rubbery linoleum and pressed ink into the grooves. This technique makes the lines look slightly uneven, like they were stamped by hand. Check out The Museum of Modern Art to see more prints like this in person.
