Untitled is a 1977 graphite by Joseph Piccillo, held at Museum of Modern Art.
This image shows four small portraits arranged in a row. Each picture is a close-up of a person’s face, drawn in soft black and white. The faces are blurred, making them hard to recognize, but you can still see their shapes and expressions. The artist used a simple pencil on a flat board, focusing on light and shadow. The middle picture is just a black square—no face at all. If you like this style, check out Joseph Piccillo.
Joseph Piccillo (1937–2022) was an American artist.
