This sketch shows two people sitting close together on a low stool. The person on the left is dressed in loose pants and a shirt, while the one on the right is lying back, mostly uncovered. The lines are simple and rough, like quick pencil strokes. The artist used a technique called lithography, which lets you draw on a flat stone and print it like a stencil. The paper has a warm, slightly yellow tone. Check out lithography to see how it works.
