Untitled is a 1965 ink by Jyoti Bhatt, held at Museum of Modern Art.
This print looks like a mix of bold shapes and textures. At the top, there’s a green oval with a spiral inside. Below it, thick black lines crisscross in a zigzag, framing red-brown areas that look like tangled roots or vines. Underneath, a green forest of wavy lines hides three red rectangles with simple faces inside. Two green hands with long fingers reach up from the bottom corners. The faces in the red boxes are blank except for a few lines—almost like windows into something hidden. The whole piece feels layered, like different scenes stacked together.
