Untitled is a 2015 ink by Lawrence Weiner, held at Museum of Modern Art.
This image is a simple blue square with bold black text at the top and bottom. The top reads *"Wir sind Schiffe auf dem Meer"* (We are ships on the sea). The bottom says *"Wir sind keine Enten auf dem Teich"* (We are not ducks in the pond). In the middle, there’s a single black line drawing of a ship tilted sideways. The text and ship are the only elements. The contrast between the solid blue background and the stark black lines makes it look clean and direct.
