About this work

This print is all jagged white lines on a dark background. You can make out two figures tangled together—one looks like a person with a horned head, the other like a creature with a long neck and clawed hands. The lines are rough and uneven, almost like they were carved quickly. The artist used a woodcut technique, where the design is cut into wood and then inked. The result feels raw and urgent, like the lines were made in one go. Check out woodcut to see how this print was made.
