This is a dark, almost all-black square with a few faint marks. The edges look worn, like old paper. At the top, red handwriting spells out a name in uneven letters. The black comes from painting over a printed page—you can still see the ghost of lines underneath. The paint is thin in spots, letting the page peek through. Next, check out the technique: gouache.
