About this work

This drawing looks like a messy, busy map of a place you’ve never seen. There are lots of scribbles in yellow, green, and brown, with wavy lines that might be water or roads. Tiny circles and dots pop up everywhere, and some shapes look like trees or buildings. The whole thing feels like it’s half-finished or exploded—colors bleed into each other, and the lines don’t always make sense. The artist used ink and pencil on a thin plastic sheet, which lets the light show through in weird ways. It’s not clear if this is a real place or something made up, but the mix of marks feels intentional—like a puzzle without rules. If you like this wild style, check out Matthew Ritchie for more of his layered, map-like drawings.
