Untitled is a 1933 ink by Olin Dows, held at Museum of Modern Art.
This black-and-white print shows a group of people working in a field. They’re bent over, handling long, thin objects—maybe plants or tools—while others sit nearby. The background has simple shapes: a fence, a few buildings, and a sky with wavy lines. The artist used sharp, clean lines and lots of shading to show light and texture. Notice how the shadows under the figures and tools make them look solid. Want to see more? Check out engraving to learn how artists carve images into wood.
