A large sheet of paper is filled with black ink marks that look like layers of grids, lines, and faded writing. The drawing feels both precise and worn, as if copied from an old document or a forgotten map. The artist made this by hand, using a technique called cross-hatching—drawing many thin lines close together to create shade and texture. He often works this way, building up images slowly, like someone piecing together fragments of history. The title, *Untitled*, leaves it open, letting you decide what it might represent. Look next at the technique: cross-hatching.
