About this work

This sketch shows a simple black outline of a glass with a straw sticking out. The glass is tilted slightly, and a few quick lines suggest condensation or drips inside. The bottom of the glass has jagged, uneven edges, like it’s broken. The title is scrawled in the corner: *"Broken glass"* with the date *5.12.88*. The drawing is loose and fast, almost like a doodle. If you like this kind of minimal, everyday subject, check out Ray Johnson.
