About this work

This looks like a crumpled brown paper bag with a torn corner, sitting flat. Inside, there’s a small painted scene of blue flowers on green stems against a red background. The words *"OF PREVIOUS DISSIPATIONS"* are written in uneven white letters along the top edge. The bag’s wrinkled shape makes the painting inside feel hidden or forgotten. The flowers inside look like they’re floating in water, but the bag’s rough texture makes it feel more like a discarded thing. Check out The Museum of Modern Art to see more art that plays with everyday objects.
