About this work

This image shows a black-and-white photo of a woman standing in a room. She’s holding a black floral-patterned curtain aside with one hand. On the right, a closet rod holds a few dresses and jackets. The floor is plain, and there’s a light switch on the wall. A text strip in the middle reads: *"What we lose in flowers..."* with the name *Bill Powers* below it. The photo looks like a candid moment, not a posed portrait. The artist played with everyday scenes and text to make people think. Check out the artist’s work at Richard Prince.
