This print is all black, white, and gray shapes stacked unevenly. You see a face with a hat, a lamp with a dark shade, and a pair of hands holding something round. The figures look like they’re cut up and rearranged—some parts overlap, others float alone. The lines are bold, almost like a sketch that got stretched. The artist used a printing method where ink is rolled onto a flat stone, then pressed onto paper. That’s how the ink looks slightly smudged in spots. Check out lithography to see how this process works.
