Untitled is a 1917 ink by Stanislaus Stückgold, held at Museum of Modern Art.
This sketch shows three figures standing close together. The person in the middle holds a small child, while the person on the right reaches out with one arm. Behind them, two large trees rise up, their branches tangled and uneven. The lines are loose and quick, like a hurried drawing. The artist used a technique called lithography, which lets them draw directly on a smooth stone before printing. The rough edges and simple shapes make the scene feel both tender and a little mysterious. If you like this style, check out more works by Stanislaus Stückgold.
