This print shows a narrow valley framed by two dark slopes. At the top, a bright blue sky sits above a jagged, black-and-white mountain range. Down the middle, a thin orange line runs straight, with three blue vertical streaks cutting across it. The artist used sharp contrasts between light and dark shapes. The blue sky and orange line stand out against the heavy black slopes. Look next at chiaroscuro.
