About this work

This image is a busy, ink-heavy map-like drawing crammed with tiny buildings, roads, and odd shapes. Some areas look like cities with towers and bridges, while others are just scattered marks and blobs. The whole thing is in black, white, and a few smudged gray spots—no color at all. The artist packed so much detail that it’s hard to follow any single path. The lines are both precise and messy, like a sketch that grew too big to control. It feels less like a real map and more like a dream of one. Want to see more by this artist? Check out Ynez Johnston.
