Untitled is a 1964 by Yutaka Matsuzawa, held at Museum of Modern Art.
This image shows six black-and-white shapes on a white page. They look like squiggly loops with circles and lines inside them. Some shapes are simple, others have extra marks. The text below is in Japanese—it’s small and packed tight. These prints were made using a process that creates static images. The shapes feel like they’re being studied, almost like diagrams. The artist played with how these forms relate to each other. Check out Yutaka Matsuzawa for more of his work.
