Untitled is a 1913 ink by Adolpho Wildt, held at Museum of Modern Art.
This drawing shows four stick-like figures in a wooded area. The trees are simple lines with small clusters for leaves. One figure is bent over, touching the ground, while another stands tall with arms raised. The lines are dark and scratchy, with some areas filled in with tiny dots. The word *L’Ombra* is written at the bottom, which means "the shadow" in Italian. The artist signed it *A. Wildt*. Next, check out cross-hatching to see how artists build shading with lines.
Adolfo Wildt (1 March 1868 – 12 March 1931) was an Italian sculptor. He is mostly known for his marble sculptures, which blend simplicity and sophistication, and paved the way for numerous modernist sculptors.
