Untitled is a 1980 ink by Arman, held at Museum of Modern Art.
This drawing shows a row of tall, skinny figures with big heads and long, wavy hair. Their faces are blank, almost like masks, and their bodies twist in strange, uneven lines. The whole thing is drawn in black ink on a light background, with some areas filled in solidly and others left sketchy. The artist used a technique called *drypoint*, where they scratched lines into a metal plate to make the print. That’s why the marks look both sharp and rough. Check out more by the artist Arman.
