About this work

This painting is all sharp black shapes on a bright blue background. The lines look like they’re jumping around—some are wavy, some are straight, and some twist into letters or almost-words. White spaces peek through like gaps in a puzzle. The artist used a printing method where ink is pressed onto stone or metal, then transferred to paper. That’s why the colors feel so flat and clean.
