Untitled is a 1979 graphite by Chris Burden, held at Museum of Modern Art.
This work looks like a collage. There’s a tattered newspaper clipping about "creatures beyond fathom of science," a small piece of snakeskin, and a black-and-white photo of a jet with tiny arrows pointing at it. Some handwritten notes in red pencil are scattered around, and a folded paper with a label reading "EXPERIMENTAL" is stuck in the corner. The mix of real objects and printed text feels like a puzzle. The snakeskin and the jet photo don’t seem to match, which might be the point—making you think about how things don’t always fit together. If you like this kind of mixed-up art, check out Chris Burden.
