This drawing shows two tall, shadowy figures standing on either side of a giant, wobbly saxophone. The saxophone is bright yellow with red scribbles all over it, and it looks like it’s playing itself—one arm raised as if holding an invisible microphone. The background is mostly blank, with just a few loose lines and smudges. The artist used quick, sketchy lines to make the saxophone look both solid and silly at the same time. The figures on the sides are just dark shapes, almost like they’re not fully there yet. If you like this weird, playful style, check out more by Claes Oldenburg.
