About this work

This print shows a close-up face with bold lines and shadows. The eyes are big and dark, almost like masks. Behind the face, there’s a mix of sharp angles and smooth curves—some look like gears or clock parts. The whole thing is in black, white, and gray, with a few raised areas that catch the light. The artist used a method that lets ink sit in carved lines, then pressed paper onto it. That’s why some parts feel textured. The face looks strong but also a little mysterious, like it’s hiding something. Check out etching to see how artists carve into metal plates to make prints.
