This painting is made of bold, cut-out shapes glued onto dark paper. Big red numbers "1928" sit in the middle, with a green triangle behind them. White zigzag lines frame the top and bottom, and a thin orange rectangle cuts across the center. The colors pop against the black background. The artist used scissors and glue instead of brushes. This was a common way to make art in the 1920s, where everyday materials became part of the creative process. Look up Fortunato Depero to see more of his playful, geometric work.
