About this work

This sketch shows a side profile of a person’s head, drawn in loose, wavy blue lines. The hair and face blend into soft strokes, almost like quick pencil marks. The background is plain and light, letting the figure stand out. The artist used a printmaking method that lets ink roll onto stone or metal. This makes the lines look both sketchy and smooth at once. Try looking up lithography to see how it works.
