This sketch shows a busy city scene with sharp lines and quick strokes. Tall buildings lean at odd angles, and a bridge cuts across the middle. The artist used only black ink on paper, leaving lots of empty white space around the edges. The drawing feels rushed, like the artist was capturing movement fast. The lines are scratchy and uneven, giving it a raw, energetic look. If you like this style, check out more by John Marin.
