About this work

This image shows six simple shapes arranged in two rows of three. Each shape is a circle with tangled lines inside, drawn in black on a light background. The lines look like they’re made by hand, with some areas darker where the ink is pressed harder. The artist used a drypoint technique—scratching lines into a metal plate to make the print. The marks vary in thickness, creating a sense of depth just from shading. Look up The Museum of Modern Art to see more works like this.
