About this work

This painting shows a long sheet of paper folded into neat, wavy lines. The folds are painted in soft blue and white, stacked like waves. Tiny holes dot the edges, holding the folds in place. The artist used a printing trick to make the waves look smooth and even. The paper’s edges are clean and sharp, like it was cut with a knife. Look up lithography to see how this printing method works.
