Untitled is a 1996 graphite by Martin Kippenberger, held at Museum of Modern Art.
This drawing shows a person sitting on the ground, holding a giant, round object like a balloon or a globe. Behind them, a tree and a cow are sketched in quickly. The colors are loose and bright—yellows, greens, and blues—with some smudges and scribbles. The paper looks like hotel stationery with a "Majestic Cannes" logo at the top. The artist used simple lines and filled in shapes with quick marks, almost like doodling. The title is written in German: *"Der Eiermann"* (which roughly means "The Egg Man"). Next, check out cross-hatching to see how artists build shading with lines.
Martin Kippenberger (25 February 1953 – 7 March 1997) was a German painter, draftsman, photographer, sculptor, installation and performance artist.
