Untitled is a 1980 silver by Matt Mullican, held at Museum of Modern Art.
This image is a wall covered with small photos and papers. Some are close-ups of faces, hands, or objects like a light switch. Others show rooms, crowds, or landscapes. The pictures are pinned up in no clear order—some overlap, others are cropped. A few look like old news clippings or sketches. The mix feels personal, like a collage someone made over years. One detail stands out: a single red poster with white text, tucked near the top left. It’s the only splash of color in a mostly black-and-white grid. Want to see more work like this?
