About this work

This print shows a strange, dark face inside a rough circle at the top. Below it is a row of small, identical black squares. The edges are uneven, like the print was cut by hand. The whole thing is mostly black and white. The face looks almost melted, with sharp lines and blurry spots. The squares below might be a grid or a pattern, but they’re not perfectly neat. This is made using etching, aquatint.
