About this work

This painting shows three pale, floating shapes against a light gray background. The top shape is a perfect circle, slightly darker than the rest. Below it are two ovals, one wider and one narrower, stacked like a pair of eyes or a ghostly face. The edges are soft, almost like they’re fading. The artist used watercolor in thin layers to create this dreamy effect. The colors blend so smoothly you can barely see where one shape starts or ends. Check out watercolor, glazing to see how artists build light like this.
