This sketch shows a group of people sitting and standing under a wooden roof. Their backs are turned, and they’re dressed in long coats and hats. The lines are loose and dark, giving it a sketchy, quick-drawn feel. The artist used a technique called lithography, which lets you make prints from a flat stone or metal plate. The rough edges and simple shapes make the scene feel alive but unfinished. Check out lithography to see how this printing method works.
