About this work

This drawing shows a black train moving through a rough, textured landscape. Above it, a tangled line of speech bubbles floats like storm clouds, filled with messy handwriting. The words are fragments of questions and poems, some crossed out, others looping around each other. The artist used thick, overlapping lines to create both the train and the scribbled text, giving everything a scratchy, urgent feel. It’s like the words and the train are racing side by side. Look up cross-hatching to see how artists build texture with lines.
