About this work

This drawing shows a pair of legs in boots standing over a dead animal—maybe a coyote or dog—lying on its back with its belly ripped open. The ground is splattered with red, like blood, and the legs look tired or heavy. Above, jagged lines suggest a desert road or fence, with text scrawled in messy ink: *"Dumped in Arizona, murdered in California"* and *"A lizard was the last seen I saw."* The words hint at a story of violence and abandonment, mixed with dark humor. The artist used quick, sketchy lines to make it feel raw and urgent, almost like a comic panel. If you like this style, check out cross-hatching—it’s how the artist built up dark areas with crisscrossed lines.
